Can humans catch Kennel Cough?

My dog has kennel cough and has been spitting up phlegm for the past few days. Today, I was cleaning some of the phlegm off of her face. She coughed and I'm afraid some of the phlegm got onto my face. Is kennel cough contagious to humans? Thanks.
