I am thinking of taking up a sport - what is your suggestion?

I bet there's a tiger in you wanting to come out!!!! Why not try some of the martial arts? My daughter is expert in Tai Chi, which seems tame, but at higher level involves physical competition. People are very nice, and you can practice on beach. Good luck. What a nice person you seem.
