Why do Americans hate "introverts" so much?

Call me paranoid, but I think the overly-extroverted Americans continously bombarding introverts with social stigma will result in their eventual downfall. Don't they know introverts have richer minds and ideas than they possess, and the mind is the most important part of being human?
