istance needed for DVD/CD labelling techniques?

I have used stomper as suggested by tc5158 I found the software excellent, the device has a circular base on which you place the cd/dvd and then press the label on. It works very well however You have to be careful when you do it if the label overhangs the disc it can be a problem.
